Good Morning,
If you haven’t heard we got some good news from Blue Origin. After they were able to access the damage of launch complex 36 from last week’s explosion. Though I think this might be optimistic, the CEO Dave Limp says they will be up and flying again in 6 months, targeting New Glenn 4th launch by the end of the year.
Most of the critical long-lead infrastructure survived and is in good shape, including the propellant farm tanks and the water tower, which is a major positive for recovery. Although the support tower was damaged, it can be repaired in place, the booster and three GS-2s appear to be fine, and there’s no need to replace the transporter-erector because they were already transitioning to a different vertical approach. All that will save a lot of time.
What do you think? Is this optimistic or will New Glenn launch by the end of 2026?
On a different note, what’s up with the repaving of I-95? I’ve driven I-95 from Jacksonville to Miami and it seems like 80-90% of all other areas along the way are done and then there is Titusville. I’ve seen they started, but I guess they got called away. Are they saving the best for last or do we just keep getting the short end of the stick?
Last week Driftwood Coast Bar & Grill had a job fair. Hopefully that went well. I reached out to get any updates on when they may be opening, but haven’t heard back. I thought they would be open by now.
So here is my question,
In what order will these happen?
