Good morning, Get ready—it's a jam-packed week ahead and there is truly something for everyone. Tonight, a historic journey will come to a close as the Artemis II crew splashes down after becoming the first humans to travel beyond Earth's orbit since 1972.

If that's not enough to get your heart racing, the weekend is loaded with manatee spotting at Eddy Creek, guided hikes through Enchanted Forest, the 61st NBAL Spring Art Show, the Blue Angels screaming over Cocoa Beach, and so much more.

They Went to the Moon and Back — The Artemis II Crew Splashes Down This Evening

For the first time since 1972, four astronauts traveled beyond Earth's orbit and saw the far side of the Moon with their own eyes. The crew of Orion Integrity — Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen — are coming home this evening, Friday, April 10, at 8:07 PM ET.

Artemis II’s launch on April 1st not only carried the four astronauts to the Moon and back, but reignited something deep in humanity — wonder, ambition, and the belief that our greatest journeys are still ahead.

In ten days, the crew photographed the lunar far side, witnessed a rare in-space solar eclipse, proposed names for two new craters (one named for their ship, one for Commander Wiseman's late wife), and held the first-ever space-to-space call between two crews simultaneously in space.

Watch and follow the splashdown live tonight on Discover Titusville.

Nature Is Calling, Will You Answer?

This week turns into one big nature classroom. Kids and families can kick things off at Friday Nature School, an immersive outdoor learning session at the Sendler Education Outpost inside Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge — pre-registration required. Over at Playalinda Beach, Canaveral National Seashore park staff set up the Discover Your Seashore drop-in table, where visitors of all ages can explore hands-on materials about the park's wildlife, habitats, and history — no reservation needed. For those craving a real adventure, the Off the Beaten Path Guided Hike takes a small group deep into rarely-seen areas of Enchanted Forest Nature Sanctuary — spots are extremely limited, so register on Eventbrite now.

Also this Friday, don't miss Manatee Mania at Eddy Creek dock, where park staff help visitors spot Florida's gentle giants right from the water's edge. Then Saturday brings two more reasons to head to Playalinda: the Trash Bash Beach Cleanup rallies the community to protect one of Florida's most stunning stretches of coastline — supplies provided, just show up. Stick around after for Shark Talk, a free 30-minute park staff presentation on one of the ocean's most misunderstood animals, perfect for all ages.

An Easter of Arts & Crafts

I hope you had a wonderful Easter and that you got to spend it with family and friends. I thought I’d share some of our Easter moments with you. For every grandparent, one of the greatest joys is getting to spend time with the grand kids. There is nothing like painting (decorating in this case) Easter eggs and using them as a hat.

It really was an Arts & Crafts Easter. The adorable knitted animals we got from our very own Spring Festival of Crafts at Sand Point Park a few weeks ago. A great reason not to miss it.
